Canadian Music Artists Whose Music Will Be Featured in Trickle & Flow

Everlae

Everlae

Singer · Songwriter · Indie Pop · Acoustic

Everlae is a solo musician, singer, and songwriter from Calgary, Alberta. Her music blends the warmth of acoustic storytelling with the shimmer of indie pop.

She began writing songs in high school but truly immersed herself in songwriting after purchasing her now well-loved Taylor guitar. That guitar became her creative anchor, and soon she was recording original songs in a friend's basement studio. Her early style was rooted in the acoustic singer-songwriter world, with simple, raw performances that captured her love of melody and lyrics.

After high school, she studied classical voice at the University of Lethbridge. Though the training shaped her technical foundation, she knew early on that classical music wasn't her path. She stepped away to focus on her own songwriting and recorded her first professional EP, 10 Whole Minutes, under her previous name. She performed the release show at eight months pregnant — a moment that marked both a creative milestone and the beginning of a new chapter.

Over the next twelve years, she focused on raising her four children. Now, with her kids in school, she's returned to music with renewed clarity and creative energy. While her songs are still written on guitar, she envisions them with layered vocals, dreamy synths, and lush, cinematic textures. Her upcoming EP, set to be released in 2026, will showcase this new sound — inspired by artists like Owl City, The Chainsmokers, Lights, Vanessa Carlton, Lord Huron, and Taylor Swift.
